The above, once I ran it and opened up GitKraken it worked just fine again as nothing had happened. I would like to simply search all repositories in the 'New Tab' 'Open a Repo' dialog - which opens in 'Recently Opened' by default. When I deleted the exising gitkraken configuration and installed it from a tarball, it worked without issue. So seems I do have to configure my credentials in gitkraken but not sure where that should be done. I cannot also clone the same or another repo from Gitkraken. The merge and stashing seemed to fail because in the changes I was attempting to merge in, some files were deleted. This seemed to be an issue specific to the snap package. I can of course open that repo folder from gitkraken and see even all the remote branch and all the history, but once I do for example pull from gitkraken it failed as 'access' denied. My problem was I was using Bash Ubuntu on Windows, which has a nasty habit of locking files. Uninstalled Gitkraken, removed the directory in AppData and reinstalled. I have my repo stored on GitHub and visibility is public but since a few days when I try to open the repository on Gitgraken, it says that the repo Im trying to open is private and it wont let me access it.
